Meeting Overview

Objective

Establish a positive, forward-looking framework for the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the Harbor Safety Committee (HSC) to collaborate on future decision-making. This session focuses entirely on strategic cooperation to integrate safety and operational risk assessments into future clean air initiatives.

Committee Position

The HSC fully supports progressive clean air policies and aims to partner closely with CARB to help California set a national model. Our goal is to ensure that mariner safety receives equal weight alongside environmental objectives without creating hurdles to progress.

Scott Humphrey, HSC Chair, facilitated the session.
