About
The Area Maritime Security Committee (AMSC) is a collaborative forum established under the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) of 2002 to coordinate planning and information sharing to protect the Marine Transportation System in the San Francisco Bay region. Chaired by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port, the committee works with government agencies and private industry to address physical and cybersecurity threats by developing the Area Maritime Security Plan, identifying risks, and coordinating training
