Alameda Fire Department

The City of Alameda Fire Department (AFD) operates as a full-service, all-risk emergency response organization dedicated to protecting the island city’s residents, visitors, and maritime environment. Directed by the Fire Chief, the department is structured into six functional divisions: Administration, Emergency Operations, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Training, Disaster Preparedness, and Fire Prevention.
