Organization Overview
The ILWU Coast Longshore Division is the administrative backbone of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, managing labor contracts for over 22,000 dockworkers across 29 West Coast ports. At the heart of this network is ILWU Local 10, its historic, San Francisco-based longshore chapter. Together, they oversee the complex transfer of maritime cargo, driving supply chain operations that fuel both the regional and national economies.
