The Port of Benicia, owned and operated by AMPORTS, serves as a massive privately-owned deep-water terminal and premier vehicle processing hub headquartered regionally in Benicia, California. Situated inside the Benicia Industrial Park along the Carquinez Strait, the 645-acre facility specializes in the high-volume import, export, and distribution of finished automobiles for major West Coast markets. Its infrastructure features a 2,400-foot pier capable of berthing three roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels simultaneously, an on-site Union Pacific rail system accommodating up to 170 multi-level railcars, and dedicated bulk transport operations handling local petroleum coke byproducts.
