Port of Oakland

The Port of Oakland is a major independent container port and public infrastructure authority. Ranked as one of the busiest container ports in the United States, its expansive maritime footprint covers over 1,300 acres, featuring three major container terminals, 18 deep-water berths, and heavy-duty post-Panamax cranes. Its integrated multi-modal infrastructure links international ocean carriers directly with on-site Class I rail terminals operated by Union Pacific and BNSF, handling over 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo annually to anchor the Northern California supply chain.
