Organization Overview
The Valero Benicia Refinery is a major industrial processing facility situated in Benicia, California, along the Carquinez Strait in the North Bay region. Its core operations historically centered on processing up to 170,000 barrels of sour crude oil per day into consumer fuels, including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and asphalt. However, following structural pivots amid California's evolving regulatory climate, the facility completed a phased shutdown of its fuel production units. Current management operations have shifted focus toward low-carbon growth projects and running the site as a product import terminal to fulfill regional fuel supply contracts.
