HSC Working Groups

The Tanker Tug Escort (TTE) Team is a working group of the Harbor Safety Committee of the San Francisco Bay Region, including the Ports of Sacramento and Stockton, formed to conduct a focused editorial review of the Tank Vessel Escort Program regulations. The team improves clarity, consistency, and precision by correcting unclear language and updating geographic references to reflect modern navigation, charting, and vessel-tracking technologies, while preserving all existing regulatory requirements. Its goal is to deliver clearly written, internally consistent regulations and submit recommended revisions to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Office of Spill Prevention and Response for review.
